Care Work and Economic Empowerment Organizer 

Monique Street serves as the Care Work and Economic Empowerment Organizer at Secure Families Initiative, where she works to advance policy initiatives that strengthen military families’ economic security and elevate the voices of care workers who sustain military households.

For over a decade, she provided financial counseling and planning services, primarily to military-connected families through DoD programs.

An active duty Army spouse and mom of two, Monique currently serves as the first military spouse member of the Maryland Military Installation Council and previously served on Maryland’s Global War on Terror Memorial Commission.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Alabama A&M University and a master’s degree in Family Financial Planning and Counseling from The University of Alabama.
