Hannah Sanchez-Medley, a Chicana and Texas native, initially found her drive for civic engagement by working in grassroots political campaigns throughout her time in college. She then built her career around her passions in advocacy, working for immigration organizations focused on the resettlement and community integration of young refugees and asylum seekers. She also served a year of public service with AmeriCorps, where she oversaw large-scale volunteer management and outreach coordination efforts specifically for immigration advocacy groups.

She has supported various and diverse communities through her work in community outreach, advocacy and capacity-building in the nonprofit sector, both abroad and at home. Hannah considers herself a dedicated community advocate, and is learning to implement this in her most recent role as a military spouse.

Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies with dual minors in History and Political Science, focusing on campaigns. She grew up as a military child and is the proud wife of an active duty Sailor. They are currently stationed in Monterey, California with their two children.
